This policy explains what information RLM Pulse ("the Service"), operated by Rat Labs Media ("we", "us"), collects, how we use, store and share it, and the choices you have. Rat Labs Media Ltd, company no. 12991369, registered in England and Wales
RLM Pulse uses YouTube API Services (the YouTube Data API) to read public information about live YouTube broadcasts: the video id, title, channel id and channel name, the broadcast's start and end time, its number of concurrent viewers and, after the broadcast, its view count.
| Information | Source | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Public broadcast statistics: platform, channel id and name, stream or video id, title, category or game, start time, concurrent viewers each minute, VOD view count | The official APIs of Twitch, YouTube and Kick | To measure esports audiences: the Service's purpose |
| Account details of our clients' users: a sign-in name and password (stored only as a secure hash) | Set up by us for client users | To give clients access to the Service |
| Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, time | Your browser, when you visit the site | Security, preventing abuse, fixing faults |
| Contact messages: your email address and what you write | You, when you email us | To reply to you |
We do not collect data about the people watching streams, use advertising or tracking tools, or buy personal data from anyone.
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), where broadcast statistics identify an individual creator (for example a channel named after a person), we process them on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring audiences of public broadcasts. The information is already public, limited to what the broadcast itself shows, and used only for audience measurement.
We do not sell personal data.
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Statistics from YouTube API Services | Refreshed or deleted within 30 days, unless YouTube has authorised longer storage for our use case |
| Statistics from other platforms | As long as needed for historical event records (year-on-year comparisons), and deleted on a valid request (see below) |
| Server logs | Up to 30 days |
| Client accounts | For as long as the client relationship lasts, then deleted within 90 days |
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to our processing. A creator can ask us to remove their channel from RLM Pulse; we will delete its stored statistics and stop collecting it, normally within 30 days. Email contact@ratlabsmedia.co.uk from an address we can link to the channel, or tell us how to verify that you own it.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It remembers your Night / Day display choice in your own browser's storage; that setting never leaves your device. Signing in uses your browser's built-in sign-in prompt.
The Service runs on servers in the European Union, behind encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to anything beyond these public pages requires a password. No method of storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the data.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be shown on this page.
